Skeptical Communion

Concealing the confidential
Sealing the separation
Consequences of congenital
Strength.

Candid to the core
And comely by consecration
Commonly confused solicitation
For camaraderie and kin
Craving closeness, still I’m soulless
Currently can’t come
Into companionship.

So now,
Such simple somethings such as
Kindness
Seem a soft caress or a slithering snake
And I can’t keep it from slipping
To somewhere I cannot contain it.

I can’t keep it from creeping
So still it is seeping
So soft, so sleek, so smooth
Clarity of mind I cling to,
Consciousness corralled, conveniently.

Carefully concentrating, combating careless claims,
Sordid streams and sexy scenes,
Severing the serenity, stealing sweet sensibility
Summoning the subconscious
I care not to conjure.

Killing and cramming and cleaning
Can’t keep it from coming to
The surface, so
I smile silently,
Seeing I’m stuck, strung up,
Silly as it is,
Searching so as to
Scare up something to say

Sssstop. Pleassse. STOP!
